"Duality" is a puzzle-adventure game created for a videogame development course in univeristy. The game features both fantasy and technology elements, and I wrote 4 tracks as the soundtrack. The first one was made for the title menu, and the next 3 were made for the in-game levels. These tracks develop the same melodic and harmonic pattern, reinforcing the significant increase in difficulty that takes place as the player goes through the story. I used mainly orchestral instruments, as well as some synth patches on the Boss Theme. The game can be played for free here.
"Realm Wars" was an online strategy game created as the semestral project of a university course. The music I wrote uses primarily orchestral instruments to convey an epic fantasy/medieval sound. Since the subject of this course was actually Web development and not game development, Realm Wars was never published.
In the past few years, I have composed the music for two short films. These were university projects from Digital Animation students at Universidad Mayor. In both cases I wrote the entirety of the music.
"Irreversible" is a drama short film about a woman dealing with the death of her husband, while taking care of their son. The music I wrote is made up primarily of orchestral instruments, as well as piano and some synth pads. The film is available to watch here.
"Chuchunco" is a nostalgic story about three young friends facing the inminent separation of one of them, due to him leaving the town. The music I wrote for this short film draws heavy inspiration from punk-rock bands, such as Green Day or The Ramones, as well as alternative rock bands such as The Smashing Pumpkins. This film is yet to be released to the public, as it is currently submitted to several national and international animation festivals.
The next tracks were not written for an existing videogame or film, but rather as a personal project or for study purposes.
This was my first orchestral piece, written back in 2020. I drew inspiration from the work of Yuki Kajiura, as well as JRPG games such as Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI.
This track was written taking inspiration from the mystical and ancient sound of some of the most notable tracks in the Skyrim OST.
Heroes of Might and Magic IV has one of my favorite soundtracks in videogames, and I wanted to write a piece of music that resembles the adventurous yet melancholic atmosphere of its most renowned tracks.
The goal with this piece was to achieve an epic and noble sonority. My main inspirations were "Figaro Castle" from Final Fantasy VI, and "Olberic, the Warrior" from Octopath Traveler.
I participated in the 2022 winter edition of the Indie Film Music Contest. I rewrote the score for this fragment from the short film Agent 327.
